ARCH+ 225 is dedicated to the legislation of architectural-, spatial- and urban planning, respectively its direct and indirect effect on the built. Therefore the issue, co-edited by Arno Brandlhuber and Tobias Hoenig, adresses an unmissable topic for architecture as a discipline. Its less the mere demonstration of rules and their consequences, the authors are interested in than exploring the limits and possibilities of this system; and in a next step, actively participating in their formulation and interpretation. The question of how this thinking can be part of the practice, is pursued by both speculative, and built examples: among others of Brandlhuber+. ARCH + 224 appears at the Architecture Biennale 2016 in Venice, first in a English version, later this year in a German version.
