- The da - die architektur department at the University of Art and Design Linz has been Austria's youngest and smallest school of architecture since 1990. In the city on the Danube, it deals with themes of urban and rural space, emphasizing social and ecological aspects. Stahlstadtschule brings together a selection of texts, interviews, projects and artifacts that locate the school of architecture in the Austrian architecture and art landscape and relate it to the city of Linz and its urban development policy processes. The publication not only traces architectural histories of the city of Linz from the past decades, but also opens up critical perspectives of the architecture school on these.
